Our address, 237 Elgin St. in Ottawa, has been home to optical stores in our community since the 1930s. Eyemaxx Optical Studio was born in 2008 when Dawn Maxwell purchased the optical store, following in her father’s footsteps. He was an Optometrist in Sudbury, Ontario, and she began working with him at age 14 as a part-time receptionist. This ignited her passion for the industry, and she went on to receive her Opticianry License and began her career as an independent sales agent & freelance Optician.

Dawn then went on to realize her dream of opening a store and after 9 years of success, Parsa Tester became Dawn’s partner who now operates the business with her today. Parsa’s background in health science coupled with her passion for customer service makes her a great leader at Eyemaxx. Together they are dedicated to providing superior optical products and services for their community and beyond.
